What would you do if you found a family of bears living in your car? I think I'd have to find a new car. A family vacationing in Gatlinburg, Tennessee found just that when they got to their car from their cabin. They screamed for their son to come to the cabin while the bears took over the family vehicle.
Whether you're teaching kids about Pride, celebrating with your LGBTQ loved one or honoring your own identity, it's a great time of the year to make some fun Pride crafts to display now or all year long. We've been making flags, friendship bracelets and even a Pride wand this month, so I was thrilled to see this list of more craft ideas.
Can you believe it's almost Strawberry Moon? It feels like June just arrived and it's nearly half over already. It seems to get worse every year. This month there is a TON to do in the garden, especially if you've got yours going full swing by now. It's definitely time to refresh that manure if you're using it, as well as to move plants outside now that the threat of frost is over (or is it? In the Midwest it's been downright chilly at night!) for a nice dose of summer sun.
Are you in the mood for Thai food? I am ALWAYS in the mood for Thai food, especially if a Thai tea or coffee is involved! If you've ever been to Lotus Thai, you should know that the company is now known as Cherry Street Thai, and it's the perfect place to satisfy your craving for all things Thai.
Last week we read about how frogs in New Guinea have been protected from the deadly chytid fungus somehow, and now we've heard about a new species that was also discovered in New Guinea! This new Pnocchio frog has an adorable little nose that suits its name and it even has a cute discovery story.
A dad recently came up with an amazing idea for kids in the hospital. He designed bed sheets that double as board games so kids can play while they are in bed. It's an ingenius idea that makes it play time anywhere you are, even if it's one of the scariest places in the world to be. Sheets have games like tic tac toe, checkers, word finds and more. His company, Playtime Edventures, comes with over 50 different available games. They also donate a set for every set purchased!
Nostril hair extensions. Look, I don't judge, and I am pretty open-minded about a lot of fashion statements, but this is just WEIRD to me. Firstly, how would these not get in your way? And secondly, why? Not only why would you want your nostril hair longer in the first place, but why would you style it into anemone-shaped... things... outside your nostrils?
Someone I love is celebrating their first major Pride this year as open to most of their friends and family and I'm so excited to be a part of it. I've been taking them to get rainbow gear, learning about the history of Stonewall and just really enjoying being on this journey with them. We're also planning on some fun foods.
What's cuter than a dolphin? A pink dolphin, of course! This adorable baby dolphin was born recently to a rare pink dolphin who lives in the Louisiana area. They've been seen in the Calcasiey River and they pretty much give us hope that there's still beauty and wonder in the world.
For many people, Pride month is all about celebrating who you are, whether that means in private or with friends, at a celebration or by protesting and commemorating the 50 years since Stonewall. It also includes celebrating and learning about more LGBTQ people in history, authors and other important figures. One way that we can do that is to explore different collections of poetry by LGBTQ authors, of course!
We were so Blessed when you were our President because of you my family had your help. Sir, you really cared about everyone and you are truly missed. I remember when I sent you my first letter and when you responded It was a wonderful feeling because of you we didn't feel alone. You did so much for our country and made it better. I know you will go down in history as one of the best President of the United States of America. I wish you could have remained our President because it seems no one cares about my family and I know a lot of people feel the same way. My children and I want to thank you so much for all the help you gave us. I hope that you and you're wonderful family are doing great. I wish you and Mrs.Obama and the girls have a Blessed life. I was hoping the former first lady would run for president. Take care, sir.
Uranium is a common element that is found in many minerals. Most uranium is mined and refined in mines and refineries dedicated to uranium. However, uranium may be present in ore from mines that are dedicated to extracting other minerals and elements.
It's 2019, and in a country supposedly founded on religious freedom (yeah, that's ironic), lawmakers who say that god speaks to them or want to make "god's rules" into law are leading the supposed leader of the free world, imposing laws on women's bodies, on gay people, on everyone, while they interpret ancient text to modern life (impossible) and their
An American Citizen whose origin is Alego Usonga. Your wife left a major impression on me, especially on her integrity and how she carried and conducted her self during your presidency. All i ask is for you to make a way for me to meet and see fer face to face and not on TV.
The Japanese have a phrase that references jobs that are dirty, dangerous or drudgery. Robots have been handling drudgery for decades. Dirty is still being done by humans. Robots are being developed to handle dangerous.
Twenty commercial space companies joined NASA representative at a conference last week to discuss the commercial possibilities of the International Space Station. NASA has been planning to use the ISS to support the commercialization of space for some time. Stephanie Schierholz, the lead spokesperson for NASA, said, “We’re here because the International Space Station is now open for business.”
